If you are in town on the Friday before the wedding then you may be looking for somewhere to eat and have a drink. Gloucester definitely has not shortage of great places to eat, drink, or watch the waves, and there are more than a few were you can do all three.

My wife and I live right around the corner from Lobtsa Land, so we frequent this place both for dinner and drinks. Hands down the best place in town for quality seafood dishes in a casual atmosphere.

Here you’ll find a number of restaurants that have great food, fun atmosphere and sit right on the inner harbor. You can check out: Madfish Grille, The Rudder, and The Studio Restaurant.
More Than Just Food
The Gloucester Schooner Festival is going on from the 4th through the 7th and includes a number of races. Not only can you see some amazing boats racing, but you can also check out the shipbuilding museum and even deck tours.
On Saturday, there will be fireworks in the inner harbor, which you may be able to catch a glimpse of if you step outside around 9PM.
For those of you sticking around until Sunday, the “Mayor’s Race” will be around 11:00AM.
Hit the beach!
Good Harbor Beach is only a little less than a mile away from the Ocean View. So if you are there early (or late) and looking to catch some rays then you are in luck. Be warned, you will have to get there early to get a parking space, but if you’re up for a nice long walk then you won’t have to worry about that or the $20 price per spot. walking directions
